Viewing or Editing Business Rules

On the Business Rules screen:

Select View Table-View to review a selected business rule. If you need to make any changes, select Edit on the Business Rule Detail screen.

Select Edit Table-Edit to make changes to a selected business rule.

Either of these options opens the Business Rule Detail screen, ready for you to review the fields or update the checkboxes.

Then:

Select Save to keep the edits you've made to an existing business rule. This will return you to the list of business rules.

If you do not want to keep the edits, just select Cancel to close the pop-up.

If you're reviewing a business rule, you can select Edit to make changes or you can close the pop-up window by selecting the X in the top right of the pop-up.

Business Rule Fields

Name

The Name of the business rule.

Rule ID

The Rule ID is the identifier of the business rule.

Group Name

The Group Name that the business rule falls under on the main Business Rules screen.

Description

The Description of the business rule, which provides more information as to what will be checked when the business rule is enabled.

Is Enabled?

The Is Enabled? checkbox determines whether the business rule is active and in use for the selected items below. If this checkbox is not checked, then the business rule is not going to run when an item is Locked, or the Status of an item is changed.

Select which action(s) or change(s) in Status will cause this rule to run

A checked box indicates that the action or change in Status will trigger the business rule to run, provided the business rule is enabled.
