Deleting Repository Files

To manage the Repository Files, there are two configuration settings that work together:

Enable Repository File Deletion - Flag whether to delete a file from the Repository after it is no longer used.

Repository File Deletion in Days - Number of days to the delay to deletion of a file from the Repository after it is no longer used.

Please note, that due to how the deletion of the file records are done, it may take a minute or two for the record to actually be deleted (since LEAD queues the record for deletion, just it does for elements and skills that are deleted).

If you set the first configuration setting to No, then you can use the Delete Orphaned Files option under LEAD Administration > Admin > LEAD Administration to create a list orphaned files. After running the process to create the list, select the Show Debug Files option on the LEAD Administration screen, then view the latest debug file and look for entries related to FileRepositoryListDeletion

If you set the first configuration setting to Yes, and then run the Delete Orphaned Files option under LEAD Administration > Admin > LEAD Administration, any repository files older than the days listed in the Repository File Deletion in Days configuration setting will be deleted. LEAD will provide you with number of files and folders that were deleted. To get a list of the deleted files, select the Show Debug Files option on the LEAD Administration screen, then view the debug file with the date the deletion took place and look for entries related to FileRepositoryListDeletion for the list of deleted files.
